Soul mate...

A soul mate is someone with who you experience a deep intimate spiritual connection, a profound synchronicity.

Upon your first meeting you feel as if you have known each other for years, and there's a feeling of being able to relax and fully be yourself. You feel like you can share with your soul mate what your life is about without editing your words in any way.

There are many people on the planet who can be your soul mate, who may fit you like a glove and you can have this deeper profound loving connection with them.

However, if you carry any wounds from the past intimate relationships, they will block the manifestion for that loving person you want to be with. The negative experiences from the past penetrate our heart deeper than we realize and reveal. And in turn create a shield of defense that doesn't allow in any pain or feelings of being loved, blocking both the positive and negative experiences from happening, leaving you completely numb and lacking personal intimate relationships.

The melting and healing of these walls is an imperative key to healing your life and reconnecting with your soul mate. And on melting, it will drench even an impermeable gone stone cold heart.

But first, you have to vibrate what you want to attract. When the soul is ready, the soul mate will appear.

Good luck and God bless.

Insanity is an antidote to the mad world...

Harr shakhs deewana, harr insaan yahan majnoon,
Mukhtalif deewangi, zehan mein alag hai janoon,
Aakhri manzil ke rah-guzaar, raah par hai judaa,
Koi zar, koi zarre mein dhoondta hai apna khuda...

When we remember we are all mad, the mysteries disappear and life stands explained.

~Mark Twain~

Promises to The Soul...

Promises to soul...

Feel the fear and just do it. There's always a way when there is a will. Life is too short for an unlived and unloved life and too long to die carrying the cross of distress.

Forgive others and forgive yourself. And then move on. Forgiveness doesn't means making yourself vulnerable again, use freewill and move away from all anguish, hurt and other low energies. Forgiveness is to let go of all negativity and make space empty only for positivity. Remember you don't find what you don't seek.

Give no excuses and take no excuses. Always be clear cut with the truth and let people handle it on its face value.

Good enough is never ever good enough. Don't compromise on life. It's all you have got. Every time you fail, is actually one step closer to the success.

Happiness stems from within. Always look within. Don't seek it without.

Keep walking. Keep walking. Keep walking.

Let go of pretense; both to self and to the world, and similarly stay away from all those who are pretentious. The world is huge and can accommodate everyone without having the need to needlessly run into each other. They are on a different karmic journey, and you on a different, don't try to change the world, change yourself.

Trust your instincts. Trust yourself. And most of all, implicitly trust God. The accountability starts and ends with God and lies not with the humans.

Tea, Coffee, or Me...

OK, let's get this straight...

Persistence pays, but persistence sans common sense takes you nowhere... It is more bane than boon...

Lemme explain... If it is your dream to someday make world's best cup of tea, and in pursuit of that, day in and day out you continuously experiment with the amount of water, tea leaves and flavors, so as to develop the right formulation, I'd say that you are right on course, keep up the hard work and one day it will reap the result that will satisfy you...

But if you have coffee beans instead of the tea leaves and yet you believe by continuously experimenting with the quantity, your persistence will pay off in creating the formulation of world's best tea, then my friend your persistence is actually leading you to nowhere...

Not doubting your skills but to make a cup of tea, world's best or not, you need tea leaves and not coffee beans...

Hereby I raise a toast, may you have an undiluted common sense and an unending persistence, and may you create worlds finest cup of tea...

Cheers...

Good luck and God bless...

Gratitude Universe...

Dear God, Dear Universe, Please crack everything that has grown too brittle in my life. My focus ain't on the breaking of the egg; it is on the emerging little chick. I release all that's not for my higher good, I let go of all apprehensions, I surrender to your will, I relax in your grace. I no longer try to repair the irreparable and instead I am absolutely focused on the possibilities I will have once the shell is no longer holding me back. Gratitude.

Common sense. Come'on sense.

There's a reason why even before you fly, the airline crew will guide you towards all emergency exits and in case of loss in the cabin pressure, advise you to first help yourself with an oxygen mask before attempting to help someone seated next to you.

Because by helping yourself first, you empower yourself to eventually help not just one, but maybe several others.

Unless you help yourself, you are never in a viable position to help anyone else.

Common sense. Come'on sense.

The Journey...

Prologue:

Wow… So you are heading to Goa… Rocking… Have a joyously safe journey.
Hope you are taking everything that you would need… Woollens, Jackets, Gloves, and lest I forget Brandy to keep you warm!

Wait a second, do you suspect it is weird to take warm clothing to Goa; it is not as if you are heading to Ladakh? Shouldn’t it be cotton casuals, swimwear, and sun-screen etcetera?

Oops, seems just alike the way I live life, I forgot to hold my horses and have rushed through.

I am sorry, my bad.

(BTW, I am sorry and my bad are similar in nature unless you say it one instead of the other at someone’s funeral. However this is the frivolous part, better to stick to the main story.)

Rewind…

Wow… So you are heading to Goa… Rocking… Have a joyously safe journey.
Hope you are taking everything that you would need… shorts, tees, swimwear et all?

Now it makes sense, does it? It isn’t as if the woollens are in any way less or more important than the casual summer wear but that it is not what one needs on the beaches.

OK, now to the next level but this time let me start with the basics.

A for Apple, B for Boy…

Journey:

Just as you primarily need shorts, tees, swimwear instead of the woollen jackets to Goa, and vice versa in Ladakh for that matter, similarly you need to identify the purpose of your soul, why you are here on earth, where are you going, and what is of the optimum need of the soul in its journey. Understand that you are a soul with a body and not a body with a soul; and the soul is here on a journey or a lifetime if you may please, which is a part of several journeys that you make within your karmic itinerary or blueprint, designed by The Almighty, The Creator, The God, and The Universe.

Your soul, like all other souls, is different from the others. It is unique in every way just as its creator intended it to be. It has its own divine purpose to be on earth. And your soul, like all other souls, has a different life path, travelling here to learn what it couldn’t in some previous lifetime. The soul travels again and again, until it make amends, grows, and is ready to reach the next level. And though the soul travels alone, yet the soul is never alone. Surrounded by the borrowers/lenders of its karmic balance sheet, the soul repeatedly meets its other counterparts in all the lifetimes, giving and taking, guiding and be guided, learning and teaching, until the karmic account is balanced and outstanding is settled to nil. And once the karmic account is settled, some souls move to the next level and some others who still have business pending with other must stay on. But because each soul has been assigned a different role, different purpose, different lessons, and there’s only as much as you can take along so it is imperative to take along whatever makes your journey comfortable and complete.

The lessons that soul needs to learn are easy to know. At every bend of life, all that you learn is a part of that entire of what The Almighty wants you to learn.

The challenges for soul, its amends, and thereby the growth are relatively easy to identify too as whatever is your weakness, you have to overcome that. Whether it is anger, or jealously, or greed for money, or lust for power, or whatever it may be, that is what is chaining your soul in the karmic cycle and you need to overcome it in order to grow. If the soul remained fearful in its previous lifetime or is meek this life, the resolve should be to turn bold and fearless. If the soul is abusive, the requisite change is to become gentle and polite. And so on. Hope you get the drift.

But here comes the difficult part.

To identify the life purpose, how to go about it, what to take along and what to let go.

This is where your intuitiveness plays a major role. The signs and the dreams that repeat time and again. Listen to what your gut tells you. Pay attention to your hearts calling. See but have a vision too.

Once you sort this, you are ready for the next level. Good luck.

Epilogue:

Suppose the airline misplaced your bag, and that what was yours to begin with landed up in an alien land because of an error whilst tagging. And believing it is forever going to be untraceable, you made peace and moved on with your journey. However one day by the stroke of luck, the bag is found, and you can identify that it belongs to you. If you get an opportunity, go ahead and claim it. Obviously the paperwork is extensive but if it is worth the gain, then surely it is worth the pain.

(P.S.: Replace airline with destiny and bag with soul-mate in the above and read again.)

And lest I forget, have a happy journey.

God bless.

The Master Horoscope...

"What is the difference between this Master horoscope and the usual one that astrologers make on earth?"

"They both are as alike as light and darkness. The master horoscope is like a fantastic maze of combinations and mathematical possibilities and permutations. At each step, the individual has the right to exercise freewill and thus with the freewill component, every step has multiple choices and multiple paths and each path has its own combinations and each combination has its own ramifications. Thus the individual's destiny will place the individual at a crossroad and in the end freewill reigns, and that freewill, opens new possibilities and new karmas... If everything is destined, then how does one makes new karmas and new destinies? Also nowadays, so many children are born through medical intervention. One can choose the date and time of your child's birth by caesarean operations. That means, you can go to an astrologer, tell him to give you the best time for your child's birth and lo and behold, the child is born at that exact time. Does that means you can manipulate the child's destiny too? No. The Master horoscope is made at conception and not at birth. Thus each individual is his or her own master of his or her own destiny. It's all about the freewill."

It's a matter of perspective.

It's a matter of perspective.

A man may be honest, kind, considerate, loving, helpful, a virtual saint but he may have many lovers or may be homosexual or have a fetish for pornography or whatever.

Another man may be mean, vicious, violent, self-centered, inconsiderate but faithful to his wife.

Do you really think the Master is going to weigh an individual over one particular weakness and discount all the others?

Who do you think hurts more people each day?

The former who has many lovers or the latter who is so self-centered and doesn't care a farthing for anybody and abuses all with his intent, words, actions and thoughts?

The sixth sense...

God gave you eyes so that not only you have the sight but also the vision for tomorrow...

God gave you ears so that you don't just hear the noises but also listen to the unsaid...

God wants you to feel the touch not only on the skin but also on the heart and the soul...

God gave you a nose not only to smell but also to distinguish between an aroma and a stink...

God gave you a tongue not only to taste the sweetness but also to spit when it gets bitter...

God gave you the five senses and made you a complete person.

Why, pray why, would you wait for the sixth sense...

Start living now...

Free Will... Will you...

Every single event, every single person you meet is a catalyst in helping you become who you are, assisting you to become what you want to... some teach you love, some teach you patience, some teach you forgiveness and yet some are there to teach you the biggest lesson of all, that is to let go... In all scenarios everyone is there for a reason, and when the soul lesson is complete, the karmic equilibrium is at par, at that point God leaves it to the Free Will of people, now with the lesson learnt, what do you want to do of it... Will it be a season, reason or for life, God leaves it to each individual... Our journey is a mix of destiny and Free Will...

Confronting the slumber...

An awakening within, and the truth is revealed,
If with care 'n nurturing, all the wounds get healed,
And with passage of time, the scars too turn light,
No other fears then, shall fight for all that is right.

Gratitude Universe...

There's a karmic reason why we perceive something as good or bad, or some people as good or bad.

When we see something good in others, Universe extends an opportunity for us to incorporate that good in ourselves.

When we see something bad in others, Universe extends an advisory to us to bring the change in our conduct, and to abstain from an alike behavior.

In both scenarios when we use the Free Will to bring the change within, the karmic cycle is complete.

Who wants to be a winner?

God: Hey Lokesh, you are here at studio cosmos to play “Who Wants to be a Winner”. Play well.

Lokesh: I hope so.

God: More than the hope, I want you to always play to the best of your ability. Ready or not, the game starts now.

Question 1: You wake up one morning and find that the newspaper delivered is ripped vertically half on all the pages, and that none of the articles and posts are complete, some are without a beginning, others are without an end. Would you believe something is amiss?

Answer: No.

Question 2: At the supermarket they are promoting a shampoo which suggests, “Use only on the scalp, any contact with the hair can cause baldness”. Would you find that product mindless?

Answer: No.

Question 3: On driving to the gas station, the attendant fills 25 litres fuel and refuses to fill any more, but charges for the full tank capacity of 50 litres. Would you feel cheated?

Answer: No.

Question 4: You take membership of a new gym which is advertised as 24x7. Few days into the membership, one morning you reach gym and it is locked. The notice on the gate reads, “Gym will henceforth stay close on any number of random days of the week. The management decision is binding.” Would you consider this as an unethical business practice?

Answer: No.

Question 5: You go to a cafeteria and order for a chai latte. The man over the counter erroneously serves you a coffee instead. You don’t like coffee, nor did you order one, as you bring this to the attendant’s notice, he nonchalantly tells you that the coffee can’t be returned now and instead you owe more money because coffee is priced higher than the chai latte. Would you find his behaviour nonsensical?

Answer: No.

Question 6: You reach the Cineplex to watch a new release. At interval the management announces that since the post interval portion of the movie is unavailable, the pre interval portion will be played again in the second half too. Would that logic appear silly to you?

Answer: No.

Question 7: You buy a best seller. After reading about 100 pages, you find out that the next 100 are blank and only the end chapters are slightly noticeable. You go back to the book store but the uninterested clerk interestingly imparts wisdom that be it any story, only the start and the end matter, the middle is of no consequence and suggests you read the book more as a time pass rather than trying to make any sense of it. You know that the gist of the story is in the pages that went missing. Would his reply be inappropriately audacious?

Answer: No.

Question 8: You go to a fancy salon which is advertising a 50% off on the pedicure treatment. It’s only afterwards that you become aware that the 50% off really meant pedicure of one foot but full charges. Would this cunningness alarm you?

Answer: No.

Question 9: During a routine servicing of your car at the service station, they clean and wash only the right side of the car. You are told that since the car is a right hand drive and no one sits on the left side, it doesn’t make sense to service the complete car. Would you realize that you are being misled?

Answer: No.

Question 10: Statistically speaking, 50% of all the wise people who know you consider you as dumb. The remaining others think that you are numb. You can’t differentiate between dumb and numb, and nor do you care. Have you ever wondered what makes them different and you indifferent?

Answer: No

God: Here we will take a small breather; we will be right back after this very short commercial break from our prime sponsors, Eternal Universe.

[During the break]

God: Such lame senseless answers. Why?

Lokesh: There was no course material that I could refer to, no phone a friend, no audience poll; what else did you expect from me? This sure is a tough game for a loner.

God: No wonder the wise in their profound wisdom believe that you are dumb and numb. I designed this game and it is a simple Yes or No game. Just like everyone else, you have a Free Will, use it along with the judgement and say yes where yes the answer is and say no where no the answer is. Situations, people and their bias neither help nor deter the winning my child. Anyhow, are you enjoying the game until now?

Lokesh: Err… No… But coming here to studio cosmos seems good enough.

God: Sorry, what? I don’t understand what “good enough” means. Does it mean to imply that you are having a good time or does it mean to convey that you have had enough of playing the game?

Lokesh: To be honest, my mind was in inertia after the first few questions, I was giving a standard reply to all the questions without even going into the individual merits, maybe it was the fear of answering wrong, maybe I was hoping to hit the elusive bulls eye with law of average. Basically, after a while, I had stopped believing I will win this.

God: Your lack of faith saddens me. If you choose to believe in YOU, and have the WILL, I shall see that you WIN. All you need to do is to apply the common sense. Don’t let the fear of answering wrong stop you from making an honest attempt. Exercise intuition, logic, and reasoning. At no point ever will you need the psychic capability; all that is essential is proper usage of the grey matter. Forget the sixth sense; start using the other five senses. I envision everything big for you, don’t settle for less, neither accept nor apply half measures when you play. Surrender only to my force, not to the game. I brought you here, in cosmos, to win, don’t fail me by not playing for the win. You can still win, there are many more questions to be answered as we go forward, but will you accept to use your brains, follow my divine guidance, surrender to my force and stop playing like a fool?

Lokesh: Yes.

God: Finally. It is the first yes I have heard you mouth all the while that you have been here. Am glad you realize that I have blessed you with a mind and a Free Will, for you to choose your answer other than an indifferent and monotonous No. Let’s play. Shall we?

Lokesh: Yes. And this time, I assure you that I will play to the best of my ability.

_________________________________________________________

Dear God, Dear Universe, Even though to the wise that surround me, may they always stay blessed, I am an epitome of dumbness and numbness, yet I am aware that the answer to each of the above questions should have been an emphatic YES. I have no explanation to why time and again I compromised rationalism, abandoned logic and accepted half measures where it mattered most when I don’t even accept or apply the same in the mundane. Yes, I plead guilty of entangling my soul believing it was in chains even though you had willed it to be free. Yes, I no longer live in denial. Yes, this awakening is the first step of a long journey. Yes, I will keep walking. I will keep walking towards you; towards positive and that in it will take me away from the entire negative. I am in gratitude, thanks for guiding me, I have learned and I am still learning, please help me evolve, help me become what you wanted me to be. Please let me find all answers within and never without. I release, I let go, I surrender, and I relax. I am open to and am receiving your divine guidance in its divine timing. I resolve to stay centred in goodness. I affirm that I will truly impart all that I have learnt and that I will learn in future, to my baby, my Gucha, my love angel, Kaynaat. In your grace, I will strive hard to protect her welfare with all my might yet at no point will I ever try to limit her learning to my learning or confine her wisdom with my limited knowledge. Bless her God, that at no stage of life she makes the mistake that I made, may she learn to compromise but never ever may she make it a habit to compromise, and with it compromise with life per se. Bless her, may she never accept nor apply half measures, neither small nor big. Bless her, may she always find strength in your divinity and stays liberate and literate. Surely at times she too shall learn to graciously accept the accomplishments to build upon along with learning to graciously accept the hindrances, and to move on. Surely the disappointments will teach her the value of success, but I affirm that I to the best of my ability and love will nurture her into confidence and self-reliance that she won’t gaffe in mistaking any setback as the benchmark. She will fly high and won’t be frightful ever of the cages that don’t even exist. She will have no fear other than the fear of God. So help me God, Amen.

Go beyond the obvious... Uncharted road... Unseen truths... Untapped potentials...

Whilst setting off to an unexplored destination, my journey is always a blend of planning and impromptu. I keep the map handy on the GPS, yet I keenly look for the approaching signs too. A few stopovers are planned, yet some more just happen. At times I call it a night to start afresh another day, yet sometimes I drive relentlessly even in the pitch darkness. I am too glad to seek guidance from those traveling on the similar road, yet I always ignore the unsought advisories from those who fear exploring and thus never set their feet out. Sometimes I go full throttle, literally living on the edge, yet at few other times I willingly go slow, maneuvering carefully on the unpaved roads and in unfavorable conditions. I take detours as and when the need arises, sometimes in search for a shortcut, at times consciously taking even a longer road to avoid the traffic. Sometimes the path is as clear as a daylight and sometimes in the utter chaos of nowhere, I trust and follow my instinct, making my own road when there is none.

But at no point do I regret making the plan, or abandon my journey midway.

And I live the same way as I drive...

Be the Phoenix... Renew, Resuscitate, Rise...

Love yourself, trust your choices, everything is possible. Having an implicit faith in the dreams is imperative for the dreams to come true.

Am aware that a 1000 miles journey is 1000 miles, important is the direction, neither do I lose focus nor do I get disheartened by distance.

Awakening isn't loss of sleep, as much as sleepless isn't being awake. Positive energy feeds awakening. Negative energy feeds sleeplessness.

Never let the fear to grow bigger than the faith...

The chill of winter and night looks dark 'n long,
Imperative but is to keep the faith 'n soul strong,
For the change is inevitable, soon it'll be spring,
Flowers will bloom again, joyful birds shall sing.

2012...

1] The path begins with a crossroads. There you can stop and think what direction to follow. But don't spend too much time thinking or you'll never leave the spot. Once you have taken the first step, forget the crossroads forever or you will always torture yourself with the useless question: "did I take the right path?"

2] The path doesn't last for ever. It is a blessing to travel the path for some time, but one day it will come to an end, so always be prepared to leave it at any moment. Don't get too used to anything. Neither to the hours of euphoria, nor to the endless days when everything seems so difficult and progress is so slow. Don't forget that sooner or later an angel will appear and your journey will reach an end.

3] Honor your path. It was your choice, your decision, and just as you respect the ground you step on, that ground will respect your feet. Always do what is best to conserve and keep your path and it will do the same for you.

4] Be well equipped. Carry a small rake, a spade, a penknife. Understand that penknives are no use for dry leaves, and rakes are useless for herbs that are deep-rooted. Know also what tool to use at each moment.

5] The path goes forward and backward. At times you have to go back because something was lost, or else a message to be delivered was forgotten in your pocket. A well tended path enables you to go back without any great problems.

6] Take care of the path before you take care of what is around you. Don't be distracted by the dry leaves at the edges or by the way that others are looking after their paths. Use your energy to tend and conserve the ground that accepts your steps.

7] Be patient. Sometimes the same tasks have to be repeated, like tearing up weeds or closing holes that appear after unexpected rain. Don't let that annoy you – that is part of the journey.

8] Paths cross. People can tell what the weather is like. Listen to advice, and make your own decisions. You alone are responsible for the path that was entrusted to you.

9] Nature follows its own rules. In this way, you have to be prepared for sudden changes in the fall, slippery ice in winter, the temptations of flowers in spring, thirst and showers in the summer. Make the most of each of these seasons, and don't complain about their characteristics.

10] Make your path a mirror of yourself. By no means let yourself be influenced by the way that others care for their paths. You have your soul to listen to, and the birds to tell what your soul is saying. Let your stories be beautiful and pleasant to everything around you. Above all, let the stories that your soul tells during the journey be echoed at each and every second of the path.

11] Love your path. And may the Lord guide you and help you every single day in 2012.

Identifiable sans an identity, an incomplete quest to be whole...
En route journey to meet the maker, destiny took away my soul...
Squander, I may one day, an insane succumbing to fate's might...

Life's alike a ferris wheel... Bound to go up 'n down several times over before the ride ends...

In a deep desire to discover the inner core and how much of it is mine,
Am painfully scrapping my soul in slow trance, one thin layer at a time,
Though been long that I went numb, reason why now, ain't feeling any pain,
No anguish, for I realize, scars will bring me revelations too, in bargain...

The tale of two beggars...

Out on a busy street corner on a sunny morning, there sat two beggars.

A constable, in a bid to scare the two away from the street, flashed his cane in the air and accidentally hit the first beggar on his forehead.

Seeing that this destitute was now bleeding and had fainted, the constable in a show of rare kindness bundled him in a rickshaw to the nearest hospital for the doctors to fix up his wound.

A li'l later, writhing in an obvious discomfort, the first beggar regained consciousness and was handed few medicines along with a glass of water by the attending nurse.

The beggar, now with bandages on his forehead, thanked God Almighty for the mercy shown, blessed the constable for his compassion, and blessed the doctor 'n the hospital staff too for providing the medical assistance.

In the meanwhile, after the constable took the injured beggar to the hospital, the unscathed second beggar was back at the street corner.

Seeing a passerby, he pleaded for ten rupees to buy some food. The passerby showed concern but as luck would ensue had only five rupees to spare, walked away after giving that to the beggar.

The second beggar pocketed the five rupees 'n cursed the benefactor for being a miser 'n wished him a misfortune, followed it up by cursing the first beggar for splattering blood around 'n finally cursed the constable too for bringing a bad omen to his business by showing up early in the morning.

_________________________________________

Epilogue: Despite being in much favorable circumstances as compared to the first beggar, the second beggar chose viciousness over kindness.

Fair enough, undoubtedly it's a free world 'n every individual should be at liberty to make their own choices on how they chose to react to situations.

The key words here are "every individual should be at liberty to make their own choices" lest one conveniently misses the greens for the woods.

God bless everyone. Stay put in unending bliss, happiness 'n peace.

Life is an unending battle of survival... Death is merely an event that happens in the end...

hajar ho jaane ki hai khawaish, iss umeed ke sabr mein...
rooh ho jayegi aazaad, dafn ho jaonga jab main qabr mein...

I will, am ready to perish, God allow me to abate...
If that is what is wanted, for the soul to liberate...

I dare to dream... therefore I am alive...

main khaak hoon apne khawabon ki, ek dinn supurd-e-khaak ho jaaonga...
zinda hoon lekin tab talak, jab talak khawab dekhne se nahin katraonga...

Morrow...

Have outgrown the fears; now sans any fright,
Sure it's dark for now but ain't forever a night,
In time the dawn will break 'n spread the light,
Life resurrects itself; everything will be alright...

The only conflict I have is raging within... Once the soul wins, everything else is easy...

I want to live 'n die as I were when I was born... Without fear... Without malice...

tamaashai bann jaaye farzi munsif toh bayaan se kya hai haasil...
be-taassub gar hai ahal-e-mehafil toh bayaan se kya hai haasil...

With judgmental people, explaining is futile... With nonjudgmental people, explanations are unneeded...

The Top 5 Regrets...

The Top 5 Regrets...

1. I wish I'd had the courage to live a life true to myself, not the life others expected of me.

This was the most common regret of all. When people realize that their life is almost over and look back clearly on it, it is easy to see how many dreams have gone unfulfilled. Most people have had not honored even a half of their dreams and had to die knowing that it was due to choices they had made, or not made.

It is very important to try and honor at least some of your dreams along the way.

From the moment that you lose your health, it is too late. Health brings a freedom very few realize, until they no longer have it.

2. I wish I didn't work so hard.

This came from every male patient that I nursed. They missed their children's youth and their partner's companionship.

Women also spoke of this regret. But as most were from an older generation, many of the female patients had not been breadwinners. All of the men I nursed deeply regretted spending so much of their lives on the treadmill of a work existence.

By simplifying your lifestyle and making conscious choices along the way, it is possible to not need the income that you think you do. And by creating more space in your life, you become happier and more open to new opportunities, ones more suited to your new lifestyle.

3. I wish I'd had the courage to express my feelings.

Many people suppressed their feelings in order to keep peace with others. Many developed illnesses relating to the bitterness and resentment they carried as a result.

As a result, they settled for a mediocre existence and never became who they were truly capable of becoming.

We cannot control the reactions of others. However, although people may initially react when you change the way you are by speaking honestly, in the end it raises the relationship to a whole new and healthier level. Either that or it releases the unhealthy relationship from your life. Either way, you win.

4. I wish I had stayed in touch with my friends.

Often they would not truly realize the full benefits of old friends until their dying weeks and it was not always possible to track them down. Many had become so caught up in their own lives that they had let golden friendships slip by over the years. There were many deep regrets about not giving friendships the time and effort that they deserved. Everyone misses their friends when they are dying.

It is common for anyone in a busy lifestyle to let friendships slip. But when you are faced with your approaching death, the physical details of life fall away. People do want to get their financial affairs in order if possible. But it is not money or status that holds the true importance for them. They want to get things in order more for the benefit of those they love. Usually though, they are too ill and weary to ever manage this task. It all comes down to love and relationships in the end. That is all that remains in the final weeks, love and relationships.

5. I wish that I had let myself be happier

This is a surprisingly common one.

Many did not realize until the end that happiness is a choice.

They had stayed stuck in old patterns and habits. The so-called 'comfort' of familiarity overflowed into their emotions, as well as their physical lives. Fear of change had them pretending to others, and to their selves, that they were content. When deep within, they longed to laugh properly and have silliness in their life again.

When you are on your deathbed, what others think of you is a long way from your mind. How wonderful to be able to let go and smile again, long before you are dying.

Life is a choice. It is YOUR life. Choose consciously, choose wisely, choose honestly. Choose happiness.

Life...

harr hasrat hai mukhtalif, haqeeqat phir bhi nahin hai judaa...
aarzu kissi ko vasl-e-yaar ki, muntazir koi ki mill jaye khuda...

God: If I were to grant ya just one wish, what would ya desire...

Blind man: I will seek vision so that I may witness the sunrise...

Deaf man: Please allow me the joy of listening to the chirping of birds...

The man with no legs: I wish to walk on the morning dew on the grass...

The man with no arms: Please bestow upon me an opportunity to hug my loved ones...

Each one wishes differently, yet no wish is lesser than the other... Diverse situations can never have uniform perspectives... Accept the except too as much as accepting the expect...

Knock on wood...

vajood ke tarkash mein, rakhe hain kuch maine, umeed ke teer sambhaal ke...
sabr kar jeeta hun, jabr-e-musalsal yeh be-sabr zindagi, unn hi ke jalaal se...

despite an endless struggle in an ending life, I live for another day 'coz my hope stays alive... 'n hope is what dies last...

C'est la vie... Such is life...

Four college mates meet at a class reunion after couple of years gap.

Three of 'em are surprised to see the fourth one walking towards 'em, suddenly looking aged 'n unrecognizable, all frail 'n bald now.

"What happened to ya dude?", the three query, a bit sarcastically, but in sync. "At the previous reunion two years ago, ya still were this tough nut who everyone had celebrated in the college... Seems like ya gave up, huh?"

"Sometime ago I was diagnosed with malignant tumor 'n underwent chemotherapy, thankfully now the biopsy shows that I am negative 'n given a chance by God's grace, I will slowly but steadily recuperate to good health... But as is visible to ya all 'n everyone who interacts with me, my body along with my soul has taken its share of toll since initially the good cells are made to perish too along with the cancerous cells but that's how this treatment works... That's the reason for the apparent weakness... 'n yeah, the hair is gone too but all this is a small price to pay for life...", the 'once strong now frail' explained with an even frailer smile.

"Whoa... What... Don't be silly, why did ya allow doctors for chemotherapy, so not done man... Last year I had a bout of cold, I simply took loads of steam, 'n for good measure, I added few drops of eucalyptus oil to it every single time, that's all that ya should've done...", the first one said in a tone full of wisdom.

At this moment the second mate chipped in with his intelligence, "Nah, don't listen to him, he's talking shit. I had a bout of fever last year so I know what I am talking about. No chemotherapy, no steam, only few dosages of paracetamol at every few hours coupled with showering in lukewarm water 'n lots of fluids intake if ya please 'n ya would do just fine... I have been there, done that..."

"What absolute rubbish... Don't listen to these two jerks. Everyone knows I am an investment banker, I make money even as we speak, so I know what I am saying... Last year I accidentally broke my middle finger... Oh man, can't tell ya how much that hurt, ya guys have no fuckin' clue, it hurt like hell man... But seriously, no chemotherapy, no steam, no paracetamol, no lukewarm showers, but only a x-ray 'n bandage the finger in a cast for 4 weeks 'n the finger comes out as new as it gets... check this out... ", the third sane voice showed his middle finger to everyone in the earshot, pun unintended...

Hearing all this sanity, the frail insane smiled with a nervous confidence 'n nodded to the other three, "Yup, sure, ya guys are absolutely right... Maybe my bad but guess what, it's my life 'n I just did what I thought was the par for course... Anyhow, ya guys take care, God bless ya all"...

He walked again, but this time away from the crowd... Since walking is all that he ever knew...

OSHO on marriage...

Osho on marriages...

Meditate over it: A fool and his cool are soon parted. That's what marriage is going to be. Only fools think in terms of legality; otherwise, love is enough. And I am not against marriage — I am for love. If love becomes your marriage, good; but don't hope that marriage can bring love. That is not possible. Love can become a marriage. You have to work very consciously to transform your love into a marriage.

Ordinarily, people destroy their love. They do everything to destroy it and then they suffer. And they go on saying, "What went wrong?" They destroy — they do everything to destroy it. There is a tremendous desire and longing for love, but love needs great awareness. Only then can it reach its highest climax — and that highest climax is marriage. It has nothing to do with law. It is a merging of two hearts into totality. It is the functioning of two persons in synchronicity — that is marriage.

But people try love and because they are unconscious...their longing is good, but their love is full of jealousy, full of possessiveness, full of anger, full of nastiness. Soon they destroy it. Hence for centuries they have depended on marriage. Better to start by marriage so that the law can protect you from destroying it. The society, the government, the court, the policeman, the priest, they will all force you to live in the institution of marriage, and you will be just a slave. If marriage is an institution, you are going to be a slave in it. Only slaves want to live in institutions. Marriage is a totally different phenomenon: if it is the climax of love. Then it is good.

I am not against marriage — I am for the real marriage. I am against the false, the pseudo, that exists. But it is an arrangement. It gives you a certain security, safety, occupation. It keeps you engaged. Otherwise, it gives you no enrichment, it gives you no nourishment. So if you want to get married according to me, only then can I give you my blessings. Learn to love, and drop all that goes against love. It is an uphill task. It is the greatest art in existence, to be able to love. One needs such refinement, such inner culture, such meditativeness, so that one can see immediately how one goes on destroying.

If you can avoid being destructive, if you become creative in your relationship; if you support it, nourish it; if you are capable of compassion for the other person, not only passion.... Passion alone is not able to sustain love; compassion is needed. If you are able to be compassionate towards the other; if you are able to accept his limitations, his imperfections; if you are able to accept him the way he is or she is and still love — then one day a marriage happens. That may take years. That may take your whole life.

You can have my blessings, but for a legal marriage you need not have my blessings — and my blessings won't be of any help either. And beware! Before you jump into it, give it a second thought.

A woman walks into a pet shop and sees a bird with a big beak. "What is that strange looking bird?" she asks the proprietor. "That is a gobble bird," he answers. "Why do you call him a gobble bird?" The man says to the bird, "Gobble bird, my chair!" The bird immediately starts pecking away and gobbles up the chair. "I will buy him," the woman says. The owner asks why. "Well," she says, "when my husband comes home he will see the bird and ask, 'What is that?' I will say, 'A gobble bird.' And then he will say, 'Gobble bird, my foot!'"
Just be a little aware before you move! My blessings won't help. Marriage is a trap and your wife sooner or later will find a gobble bird.

Mrs. Moskowitz loved chicken soup. One evening she was spooning it up when three of her husband's friends came in. "Mrs. Moskowitz," the spokesman said, "we are here to tell you that your husband, Izzy, has been killed in an automobile accident." Mrs. Moskowitz continued eating her soup. Again they told her. Still no reaction. "Look," said the puzzled speaker, "we are telling you that your husband is dead!" She went right on with the soup. "Gentlemen," she said between mouthfuls, "soon as I am finished with this chicken soup, you gonna hear some scream!

Marriage is not love; it is something else.

So be a little aware before you are trapped! Marriage is a trap: you will be trapped by the woman and the woman will be trapped by you. It is a mutual trap. And then legally you are allowed to torture each other forever. And particularly in this country, not only for one life but for lives together! Divorce is not even allowed after you are dead. Next life also you will get the same wife, remember!

Status quo...

karti hongi mehsoos meri tarah, haath ki lakeerein bhi ab kuch bebassi apni...
mukhtalif koshishen nakaam, wahan bhi, yahan bhi, ek doosre ko badalne ki...

I desire to change it, con it, deceive it, yet destiny gets the better of me...
Gracious as it makes, merciless when it breaks, yet I too keep walking...

Neither gives up...

badal ke andaaz apne harr baar, leti imtehaan hai zindagi... jawaab ki justajuu mein par, khud ek sawaal ban gaya hoon...

Not just a lifeogue, my memoir will be more about the conversations 'n at times mere communications I had with destiny.

Will title it "The Book of Joke"...

Life is nothing but a series of questions... Love is the answer to all the questions...

Me: Dear God, I need ya'r permission to love...

God: To love, ya need no permission...

Me: Seems as if ya don't understand, I am asking for ya'r explicit consent for a heart to find its rhythm in another heart, for a soul to find its genesis in another soul...

God: Obviously I do, but perhaps more than me, ya need to understand, I am the heart, I am the soul, for ya to love me via me needs no approval, no sanction, 'coz it's indeed me who ya'r going find everywhere... Love begets love... That is how I planned it to be...

God is watching us... from a distance...

Dear God...

When I see someone with the childlike eyes, I am aware it is ya...

When I see someone with a zero percent pretense, I know it is ya...

When I see someone with an innocent sacred smile, I realize it is ya...

Please God, please take care of the Gods I see...

Amen...

Life is just alike a traffic signal... Every problem is similar to the red light... But if ya'd wait for some time, it will turn green...

Live totally 'n live intensely, so that each moment becomes golden 'n ya'r whole life becomes a series of golden moments. Such a person never dies because he has the Midas touch: Whatever he touches becomes golden...

~Osho~

Bliss is to be on the same page even if it's destiny not to be in the same book...

Love never should be forced, love never should be an attempt. It should not be in the mind at all - If it happens, then it is beautiful...

~Osho~

Love is not a race... Never too late when one's waiting for the mate...

According to Hindu mythology, when Devas (Gods) 'n Asuras (Demons) churned the sea (samudra manthan) in order to obtain Amrita, the nectar of immortality, what emerged first from the churning was a dangerous poison known as Halahala, which was swallowed by Lord Shiva, the transformer amongst the divine trinity...

There is also a proverb derived from this incident, "Amrut paane se pahle Vish pinna padta hai", which implies that one has to face the odds before discovering the way to true bliss...

Soul attains nirvana only when ya unchain it...

According to the Bhagavad Gita, an upanishad in Hindu mythology 'n often described as a concise guide to Hindu theology 'n also as a practical, self-contained guide to life, Pandava prince Arjuna faces confusion 'n moral dilemma right in the middle of battlefield, "How can I ever hurt my own kin?"

It is then that Lord Krishna elaborates several yogic 'n vedantic philosophies, 'n explains the different ways via which the soul can reach the supreme being, "Let the destiny guide ya, not the guilt... Karma in itself is a Dharma... Set aside all meritorious deeds (Dharma), just surrender completely to My will (with firm faith 'n loving contemplation). I shall liberate ya, Do not fear."

The Bhagavad Gita further states it's not the fruition of deeds but rather the tranquility produced in the mind by pursuing the deed which is of supreme importance.

wow... what a downpour... awesomeness...

Ah, the downpour... means different things to different people...

For a lover, rains are the dewdrops of bliss sent from heaven, a reason for poetry 'n sheer ecstasy of getting drenched in memories, past 'n present.

For a tightass, rain is a curse causing water poodles, traffic mess, power outages, soiled clothes, missed appointments.

For a foodie, rains are the validation why pakoday 'n chai are a lethal combo.

Resurrection of a wanderer...

Sometimes my body wandered; more often nomadic but was my soul,
A wanderer wandering always ‘n forever, in desperation to turn whole…

The eternal quest to find the perfect half, which shall make me complete,
An ashen insane desiring for an ascent, like a phoenix rises from the heat…

Strangely around ‘en a Goddess exhibited an act of misplaced generosity,
Ensuing of which, my heart sewed to the sleeve, perished in that calamity…

Hurt which took an unending time before transforming in an immune to pain,
Fortunately now in a triumph of love, a Goddess revived me back to life again…

With her touch of care, the amputations have miraculously started healing,
Resuscitated heart blissfully beats in a rhythm, Oh, what an incredible feeling…

In hindsight I realize, indeed it was a good vacuum that Almighty chose to give,
Transcending far away from the fragile pave, in a nothing amiss state I now live…

There are no veils ‘n nothing is hidden, body ‘n souls now lay bare to each other,
Every moment a reason why journey from mystery to mystic need go no further…

Essentially am a wanderer still, only in skin; the fulfilled soul wanders no more,
Attained salvation in an eternal flame, my eternity is now filled with love galore…

☐Single ☐Taken ☑ I get about as much attention as a white crayon...

Life's a great leveler. Far from an unending nightmare around the same time last year, this year I've even forgotten what a nightmare means...

4. Woh boycut baal wali ladki kaun hai? Baar baar bagal mein aakar kyun baithti hai...
5. Shaam tak aa jaoge na?
6. Pahunchte hi phone karna...
7. Acha, tiffin pack kar diya hai, khaa zaroor lena aur uss boycut wali ke saath share mat karna...

All great relationships are based on two important things...

First is to find out the similarities...

'n the second is to respect the differences...

English is a funny language. U 'n I make US, yet it is written U 'n S... No worries, U 'n I still make a better US than anything else ever...

ek dafaa woh yaad hai tumm ko
binn batti jab cycle ka chalaan hua tha
humne kaise bhookhe pyaase becharon si acting ki thi
hawaldaar ne ulta ek atthanni de ke bhej diya tha
ek chawanni meri thi
woh bhijwa do...

saawan ke kuch bheege-bheege dinn rakhe hai
aur mere ek khatt mein lipatti raat padi hai
woh raat bujha do
aur bhi kuch samaan tuhare paas pada hai
woh bhijwa do...

pattjhad hai
pattjhad mein kuch patton ke girne ki aahat
kaano mein ek baar pehan ke laut aayi thi
pattjhad ki woh shakh abhi tak kaanp rahi hai
woh bhijwa do...

ek sau solah chaand ki raatein
ek tumhare kaandhe ka til
geeli mehndi ki khushbu
jhooth mooth ke vaade...

mera kuch samaan tumhare paas pada hai
saawan ke kuch bheege-bheege dinn rakhe hai
aur mere ek khat mein lipatti raat padi hai
woh raat bujha do
mera woh samaan lauta do...

pattjhad hai kuch, hai na
pattjhad mein kuch patto ke girne ki aahat
kaano mein ek baar pehan ke laut aayi thi
pattjhad ki woh shakh abhi tak kaanp rahi hai
woh shakh gira do
mera woh samaan lauta do...

ek akeli chhatri mein jab
aadhe-aadhe bheeg rahe the
aadhe sukhe aadhe gile
sookha toh main le aayi thi
geela mann shayad bistar ke pass pada ho
woh bhijwa do
mera woh samaan lauta do...

ek sau solah chand ki raatein
ek tumhare kandhe ka til
geeli mehandi ki kushboo
jhooth mooth ke shikwe kuch
jhooth mooth ke vaade bhi sab yaad kara dun
sab bhijwa do
mera woh samaan lauta do

ek ijaazat de do bass
jab iss ko dafnaungi
main bhi wahin so jaungi...

I've learned...

I've learned that ya cannot make someone love ya. All ya can do is stalk 'em 'n hope they panic and give in.

I've learned that one good turn gets most of the blankets.

I've learned that no matter how much I care, some people are just jackasses.

I've learned that whatever hits the fan will not be evenly distributed.

I've learned that ya shouldn't compare ya'rself to others - they are more screwed up than ya think.

I've learned that depression is merely anger without enthusiasm.

I've learned that it is not what ya wear; it is how ya take it off which is more important.

I've learned that ya can keep vomiting long after you think ya're finished.

I've learned to not sweat the petty things, 'n not pet the sweaty things.

I've learned age is a very high price to pay for maturity.

I've learned that I don't suffer from insanity, I enjoy it.

I've learned that we are responsible for what we do, unless we are celebrities.

I've learned that artificial intelligence is no match for natural stupidity.

I've learned that there is a fine line between genius 'n insanity.

I've learned that the people ya care most about in life are taken from ya too soon 'n all the less important ones just never go away. And the real pains in the ass are permanent.

Chalti jo dekhi meri saansien toh sayanoo ne phir thandi saans li... Hairaan woh bole, shayad marne ke baad deewane ko jeena aa gaya...

Nature's calling is not always the same as every morning nature's call...

One more day before the drive down (or is it up) to the serenity of Baikunth Kasauli Hills...

Inane maybe, yet life it still is, so cheers to life, be-qaraar hoon tujhe thoda aur jeene ke liye...

JLT...

Me: Why is it that despite being content, Loki's indeed Lucky, 'n never even expecting more than 1000 ml elixir from a 1 lt bottle of JWBL, I still want more from life?

God: err... baffles me!

Me: 'coz I can always buy another bottle when I finish this one, but have only one life to live 'n I wanna live it all.

God: Ass, if ya already knew the answer, mujhe kyun confuse kiya?

D-a-y-d-r-e-a-m-e-r: I don't blame men

I don't blame men

It is after a long time today that I revived my blog and publishing my first post on a new page. The inspiration for this post, apart from a few random conversations and a few movies, stems from the realization that women themselves can’t understand each other, so for men to do the same is like actually trying to put the toothpaste back in to the tube(you get the drift).

OK, so what I’m trying to say here is that apart from our common love for shopping & bitching(which we can do at any given time of the day), there is little that any woman would want to have in common with another. Here are a few pointers on what sets us apart:

1. We never have enough clothes: So this is a universal fact that we never have enough clothes even when our cupboards are bursting and can provide enough cloth to cover an entire country, but no, we can never have enough of them. The reason behind this fact is that we never want to be seen in the same clothes at any party with the same group, same as anyone else at the same place, same at any important meeting with the same client, same as the ones we were tagged in on FACEBOOK or same as a wannabe you know(because you obviously don’t want to be tagged as one too!!). Hence, we can never decide what to wear(a crisis bigger than the Fukushima nuclear plant on the verge of explosion).

2. We are always judging others: No matter who you are or how close you are to us, we are always judging you by what you say, what you wear, how you do things, where you work, how much you earn etc., you are always under our scrutinizing eyes.

3. We are more often than not, always confused: Be it clothes, shoes, food, men, we are always confused how to treat each one. We can never decide what to eat(will it go straight to the hip or the face), whom to date(rich & crass or smart & not-so-rich). I mean we are not gold-diggers per se and are all up for equal rights and all that jazz but if you just pass the buck and expect us to pay for ourselves all the time, the chances of you & I working out are as slim as the Olsen twins.

4. Our conversations are limited to three things: Shopping, Weight-loss & Men. All BFFs or otherwise can forever go on how we got a steal on the latest brands at the last sale(that are man’s gift to womankind) or how much we have put on or shed in the past few months and how guys never know how we want to be treated. I mean if you tell a girl ‘you look pretty’, she’d respond with a ‘Thank you’, but if you tell her ‘Have you lost some weight’, you’ll be her new BFF. Ha Ha.

5. We hardly ever see anyone who’s better than us: Similar to point no. 2, if we are always judging you is because we want to see if you can match our standards( no matter how superfluous), we might compliment our friends but inside we are just thinking how this dress would look so much better on me! LOL! Or how can that guy possibly date her, he should have gotten a girl like me(or me!).

6. We hide more than we show: Do not take this sentence literally because there are tons of females out there who would beg to disagree. I mean there’s so much going on inside us all the time(sneering at other females, hot guys, food, our boyfriends, marriage plans, in-laws, friends, affairs, secrets etc. etc.) that it would take a whole library if we sat down to pour thoughts, because unlike men who can only think about(Money, food & sex), we do have a brain but we are already using it for so many other things.

7. We are not dumb, we just want you to feel smart. I guess the point itself is self-explanatory of what I’m trying to convey.

8. We are not greedy, but needy: No we are not begging, but we want all the things in the world(tangible or intangible) and I think if we are the ones God decided should bring life and tolerate enormous amounts of pain men can only dream of bearing, then we damn well deserve all the things in the world for what we are and what we do.

Got it dude!!
