The tale of two beggars...

Out on a busy street corner on a sunny morning, there sat two beggars.

A constable, in a bid to scare the two away from the street, flashed his cane in the air and accidentally hit the first beggar on his forehead.

Seeing that this destitute was now bleeding and had fainted, the constable in a show of rare kindness bundled him in a rickshaw to the nearest hospital for the doctors to fix up his wound.

A li'l later, writhing in an obvious discomfort, the first beggar regained consciousness and was handed few medicines along with a glass of water by the attending nurse.

The beggar, now with bandages on his forehead, thanked God Almighty for the mercy shown, blessed the constable for his compassion, and blessed the doctor 'n the hospital staff too for providing the medical assistance.

In the meanwhile, after the constable took the injured beggar to the hospital, the unscathed second beggar was back at the street corner.

Seeing a passerby, he pleaded for ten rupees to buy some food. The passerby showed concern but as luck would ensue had only five rupees to spare, walked away after giving that to the beggar.

The second beggar pocketed the five rupees 'n cursed the benefactor for being a miser 'n wished him a misfortune, followed it up by cursing the first beggar for splattering blood around 'n finally cursed the constable too for bringing a bad omen to his business by showing up early in the morning.

Epilogue: Despite being in much favorable circumstances as compared to the first beggar, the second beggar chose viciousness over kindness.

Fair enough, undoubtedly it's a free world 'n every individual should be at liberty to make their own choices on how they chose to react to situations.

The key words here are "every individual should be at liberty to make their own choices" lest one conveniently misses the greens for the woods.

God bless everyone. Stay put in unending bliss, happiness 'n peace.
